World’s largest church building with 120K seating capacity “Hand of God” cathedral of Pastor David Ibiyeomie Salvation Ministries is almost complete!

SelahAfrik brought you news of Pastor David Ibiyeomie’s Salvation Ministries new facility being constructed in Rivers state. The building called the “Hand of God” due to its architectural design is poised to be the largest church building in the world, seating 120,000 people and it is close to completion as roofing and plastering is already done.

The facility is set to be dedicated in January 2022 at the first Glory Rain.

The new ultra modern 120,000 capacity Salvation Ministries facility will be the headquarters of the church on completion with an admin block.

In recent report, it is said that the roofing, being constructed by a Chinese firm has been completed and same can be said of the plastering of the auditorium which is called the Hand of God by virtue of its design with 5 fingers.

The auditorium was initially planned to be 40,000 but after a number of events, it eventually became the current 120, 000 capacity auditorium, making it the current largest single church auditorium in the world on completion. The Cathedral is located at Igwuruta leading to Port Harcourt Airport in Rivers State.

Salvation ministries is one of the fastest growing churches in the world. With the new facility, it is also set to be the largest church with a single seating capacity in the world. The church is led by Pastor David Ibiyeomie who is a protege of Bishop David Oyedepo.

It should be recalled that as at 2014, Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel had the largest seating capacity in the world with a total of 50,000 seated people in a service.

The Glory Dome of the Dunamis International Christian Centre, led by Dr. Paul Enenche (another protege of Bishop David Oyedepo) was completed in November 2018. It took over from Winners Chapel as the largest church auditorium with a seating capacity of 100,000.

Bishop David Oyedepo is currently working on the new facility of the Living Faith church called the Ark. The stadium-like facility will seat a total of 106,000 people and it is expected to be dedicated in 2024.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie who celebrated his 59th birthday on Thursday, 21st October, 2021 has more reasons to celebrate, especially for the impactful vessel God has made his life.

No doubt, this new development makes Nigeria the country with the largest church buildings in the world!
