He’s Engaged! “My Worship” Singer Phil Thompson Proposes!


– Phil Thompson Proposes to girlfriend Takiyah Romain

Gospel music singer renowned for the song “My Worship,” Phil Thompson has proposed to his beautiful bride to be Takiyah Romain.

Phil Thompson who said he has given up on love till Takiyah walked into his life was ceremonious with his proposal as he spun a romantic surprise on his fiancee.

“This week I asked my best friend [Takiyah Romain] to marry me. I’m so lucky/blessed to have her in my life… and even luckier that I get to spend the rest of my life with her… when I had given up on love, Takiyah Romain rescued me,” Phil Thompson said.



Takiyah who was indeed surprised by the gesture also gushed about Phil after the proposal:

“You have filled my world with your love, peace, prayers, encouragement, positivity, guidance & so much more. I know now that a lot of the confusing & trying times in my life have been for the greater purpose of molding me into the partner that you deserve. I can not wait to spend forever with you!!! @philthompsonworship ❤️

Phil Thompson’s debut track “My Worship” garnered over 1 million views worldwide within just two months of its release. The full live project from where the single emerged also debuted at #1 on Billboard Charts, Phil has written songs for prominent Gospel music ministers including  JJ Hairston’s  “Love Lifted Me” and he is the writer behind Ashmont Hill‘s many hits.
