Bible News: You Want Answer, God Wants Relationship

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” – Romans 5:3-5

imageA wiseman once said, “pray for big miracles but don’t be angry if God choose to answer gradually.” Do you know why? Because when we pray, we seek answers but God is looking for a relationship with us.

Most of us ran to God in despair hoping when we pray we would receive an instant answer for the challenge at hand but in the long run we discovered purpose. We learned the love of God, we also learned waiting on Him, our characters grew, we learned trust and as the day began to dawn we got answers for our petitions.

When the descendants of Israel left Egypt, God took them through a long route so that they will not run back when they see war. In the long run, He built a relationship that extended to their generations with them haven taught them doctrines, how to worship Him, He gave them commandments and at the end, gave them the land He promised.

Today, even we are enjoying the benefits of that relationship as God has extended that arm of love to us through Jesus Christ our Lord, therefore , when you pray and it seems it is taking forever for God to grant your petition, don’t loose heart, God answers every prayer, He is just using your attention which He has at that moment to draw you into a relationship with Him.
