One of the world’s most trusted resources for the world’s business and investment, Forbes Africa Magazine has put together this year’s nomination list of “Person of the Year” honour. Making the list include Econet Wireless Boss and an Apostle of meaningful growth and sustainable development for Africa – Dr Strive Masiyiwa.

Dr Strive is Zimbabwe’s richest man and has been in business since 1986. He is internationally recognised for his leadership contributions in a number of areas outside of business including his crusading campaigns to stamp out corruption in Africa. He is a leading business voice, championing the establishment and promotion of the rule of law.

Speaking on how he tackles corrupt practices such as bribe, he said: “I believe that I will never ever be disadvantaged because I walked away from a corrupt deal. In fact, on this the bible is clear: if I walk away, or lose anything because of my conviction that it is wrong, God will replace it with something much bigger and better,.. “in this life” (Mark 10:29- 30).”

Others nominated alongside Dr Strive include Africa’s richest man and chairman Dangote Groups, Aliko Dangote, Founder Zenith Bank and Visafone Communications Limited, Jim Ovia, Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and South African Mining Magnate Patrice Motsepe.
Voting is now opened on Forbes. Each individual is entitled to one vote so chose wisely…
