“Father’s Day” By Kirk Franklin Hits No.1 On Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart

Veteran gospel artiste Kirk Franklin has earned his 14th No.1 on Billboard‘s Top Gospel Album Chart, as his new track “Father’s Day” top the chart.

Speaking on this achievement , the gospel singer said to Billboard;

“I can’t explain how it feels after 30 years to still have the beautiful opportunity to do music that pushes people to the greatest love story ever told, Thank you!”

His new album Father’s Day, comes shortly after the release of Kingdom Book One, where he featured Maverick City Music.

The album which was recorded by Franklin, came out of his personal struggle with family.

In the album, he chronicled some of the event passed with his family, where the man that he grew up thinking was his father passed away and, shortly after, he discovered his actual biological father through a series of DNA tests.

Announcing this achievement via his Instagram page, he said;

The Father’s Day album includes collaborations with Kelontae Gavin and Maranda Curtis, LeAndria Johnson, Tori Kelly, Jonathan McReynolds, Jekalyn Carr, and Chandler Moore.
