Following the news that a first satanic monument in American history to be displayed publicly will be mounted in Veterans Memorial Park in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, a group of Catholics are set to stage a protest.

The satanic monument which is sponsored by the Massachusetts-based Satanic Temple is known as the “bowl of wisdom” gained approval earlier this year after the Freedom From Religion Foundation threatened to sue over the presence of a Christian-themed statue in the park that features a soldier praying over a grave marked with a cross.

According to reports, the monument is set to be placed in reserved area which will be called  “the free speech zone,”. Following the news, a group of Catholics brought together by “America Needs Fatima” and “Return to Order” are set to stage a protest with the believe that the satanic monument is an affront to God. They will be singing hymns and praying to raise awareness of what they say is Satan’s evil.

“The first public satanic monument in American history was approved for erection at Veteran Park in Belle Plaine. This is an affront to God that must not go unanswered,” a spokesman for the Catholic group said.

“It was approved a while back already, and it has not come here, I am hoping and praying that it doesn’t come into the park here!”Belle Plaine resident Donna Karnitz said.
