One of the only two survivors of the ill-fated 2005 Nigeria’s Sosoliso Plane Crash, Kechi Okwuchi drew a standing ovation from the audience and judges after her voice brought viewers to tears at the America’s Got Talent show audition
The talented and resilient contestant of Nigerian descent, who amazed the judges and audience at her audition made it to the next round.
Kechi Okwuchi first caugth the judges attention when she appeared and during the inquiries, told the judges she had been involved in a plane crash and music was her medium of escape. She sung and got the harshest judge Simon Cowell to his feet!
Kechi was one of the speakers at the 2015 TEDx Talks. Her life story – plane crash survivor, graduating magna cum laude from college was a great inspiration to many that she got a standiung ovation even before she said a word.
She took to Instagram to announce her success at the auditions.
