“…and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

– Hebrews 12:1-2

Benford Win A-10 XC 10-30-10-small

I am going to end my one year daily devotion tomorrow and I already miss it. I have gotten so used to it, it’s like we became friends somewhere along the line.

Somehow my daily devotion always fit into my mood. There are times I needed answers to a question and when I open my one year daily devotion, there lies the answer… Like it was planned when it was written. At times, I feel the author wrote it with me in mind.

Of course, the author wrote it with me in mind. Ain’t Christ the author and finisher of our faith? He has the days and your life in His hands and He knows exactly what you are going through therefore, He wants to reach out to you every time. Every day.

You know, when I started the one year daily devotion, I never thought I could finish it but I had told God I was not going to quit on anything anymore because Christ is a finisher. I started a year ago and tomorrow, I will end the plan. Wow… It feels like graduation… From a one year tertiary course (laughs).

I have learnt discipline, I have seen various sides to God, I have learnt obedience, I am better off than I was a year ago!

C’mon, ain’t you just encouraged to pick up a challenge for yourself? The Bible says whatever things are good, pure… think on these things, let’s embark on an adventure for the next one year, take on a challenge and God will see you through it. You may wobble at first but if you keep at it, you will come out at the other side a better person.

Are you ready? Set… Go!
