Don’t Share Responsibility With Your Wife -Bishop Oyedepo Says

Wife of the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church International Faith Oyedepo has quoted her husband, David Oyedepo, insisting that men should accept their responsibility of providing for the family joyfully and don’t share it with their wives.

To provide for your family is your duty as a man. It is your job; it is not to be shared with your wife or anybody else. It must be joyfully accepted and excitedly executed,” the clergyman was quoted by his wife.

Bishop Oyedepo said to his members that for men to gain the full respect from their wives, they should and must make a budget for the smooth running of the house.

Using his family as an example, he said he did not go to the market to buy school materials for his children while they were growing up, but he wife was taking care of the offering.

He said, “Husbands and wives wake up! I never went to the market to buy socks for my children when they were growing up. Their mother was in charge of their offering, already budgeted. My wife is a very efficient manager of those things. That is not my area.

“I need my time for everything. We have a set budget that goes for running the house. We are still in it and our house runs like a hotel. Husbands, wake up and win the respect of your spouses. They mustn’t be chasing after you for money for the food that you will eat.”
