I Experienced Love And Hate From The Church – Dante Bowe Reflects On Spilt With Maverick City

Grammy award-winning artiste Dante Bowe, who was suspended by Gospel music group MaverickCity due to his inconsistent behavior towards their core values has reflected on his spilt from the group, saying he experienced both hate and love from the church.

Following the group’s announcement, Bowe shared that he is taking a break from social media and making his account private. As he was told he would be removed from the team as part of a pause on their relationship, while he also received mixed reactions from the church. He said;

Churches reached out, a few pastors. It’s been cool,” he said. “I’ve also been rejected a lot too. And that’s OK. That’s just how life works. I don’t get upset about it. God has to reveal to all of us His nature, how He loves us and what He thinks about us. And I ask Him every day to give me His eyes, His heart for His people.”

We read about Jesus and what He did for the woman caught in adultery, the woman at the well, the leper, the blind man of the day. He was just very, very generous and very, very loving and caring and His kindness draws us to Him. I’ve been loved on a lot; I’ve been rejected a lot, but it’s all a part of the purpose, it’s all part of the plan.”

It was speculated that the splitting between the two parties was because Bowe promoted Bad Bunny and Lil Nas X music. While he also made a video of him dancing and singing to their songs.

You know, God’s going to use people and things to catapult you into your next step,” Bowe told CBN News. “So, I don’t think it was like something that shouldn’t have happened. I think it should have happened because now I have this incredible team.

I’ve rebuilt my infrastructure with the most incredible people and most incredible producer, John John, who’s helped me release Hide Me, and this entire album, Press Play.

I don’t think that would have happened if, you know, just certain things didn’t occur. The trials are not in vain. Nothing is wasted. Nothing’s in vain,” he added.
