– Pastor Adeboye Opens Up – Some People Mocked Me After My Son’s Death

Highly respected man of God and the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has opened up after the death of his first son, saying some people mocked him following the incident.

The clergyman revealed this while preaching on Tuesday night during the ongoing 70th Annual Convention of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Pastor Adeboye revealed God strengthened him and carried him during his saddest period after the death of his son.

He said, “Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.

“All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.” – Pastor Adeboye opens up

Pastor Adeboye also during the program made some major changes at the church during the convention which includes the retirement of Pastor Joseph Obayemi, RCCG national overseer, and some other pastors who are over 70 years old.

He also pegged the retirement age for Redeemed Church pastors at 70 going forward but some of those on retirement could be given lesser roles.
