Popularly known for her break through single “Kedike“, super star AfroPop artiste, Chidinma Ekile might have just dropped a hint of possible “Return” to Gospel music.
The award wining artiste initially rose to stardom after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa in 2010 before following up the success with hit singles like “Jankoliko”, “Carry You Go,” “Kedike,” amongst other.
Following a long break from the music scene, Chidinma Ekile has dropped hints of possible recommitment/return to Christianity.
The 29 years old artiste started off by deleting all her posts on her Instagram account which also included her story only for her to replace the deleted pictures with just one which says “Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance”
Her Instagram bio reads “MY MESSAGE IS JESUS”
Prior to her rise to stardom Chidinma was a strong and regular member of a church choir so we suppose it would not be too far fetch if she decides to recommit her life to Christ. One of her last release singles in 2019 was a Christian themed song titled “Holy.” The song features Gospel music sensation Frank Edwards and was also accompanied with a video.
With her strong Christian background and her family history we suppose it is safe to say Chidinma could be trying to re-dedicate her life to Christ.
Finger are crossed as we watch “Miss Kedike” (as she is fondly called) next move.
