Rumour on social media has it that Kennis Music and Primetime Entertainment boss Kenny Ogungbe has been ordained Deacon at the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The report said Kenny Ogungbe was ordained alongside other deacons and pastors at the just concluded convention, where Remi Tinubu was also ordained a pastor, along with 3,406 others.

The rumour started when Kenny Ogungbe shared several pictures on Instagram after the ordination but was not specific. Some even said that the Entertainment guru was ordained a deacon, not a pastor, as many had first speculated.

However, most of those who were ordained where formally dressed and wore a tag which was not seen in Kenny Ogungbe’s posts. He further stated in one of his captions that he was posing with a pastor and “two brand new deacons”, making him the fourth man in the picture.

While we are not ruling out the possibility, we would rather let the Kennis Music boss confirm the report before given specifics!

Kenny Ogungbe (Keke) and Dayo Adeneye (D1), both from Ijebu in Ogun State and graduates of Mass Communication from a US university took the initiative to take the then crawling Nigeria music industry to the level when they founded an entertainment company known as Kennis Music in the late 90s.

The label saw the success of artistes such as Tony Tetuila, Eedris Abdukarim, Kenny Saint Best, TuFace Idibia and many more.

The duo of Keke and D1 stalk together for many years achieving many great feats in the entertainment industry of Nigeria but they have since gone in different direction has their ambitions led. Kenny decided to be more entrenched in the broadcasting world by floating his own radio station, Kennis FM, while  Dayo decided to go into politics. Presently, he’s the Commissioner of Information of Ogun State government and he is set to vie for a place in the lower chambers of the National Assembly, House of Representatives come next election.
