Benue First Lady, Eunice Ortom has given employment to Ms Priscilla Hembadoon Anemba who has been helping the physically challenged in a church at Makurdi.
Miss Anemba has been offering voluntary services to the church for years, teaching the physically challenged and giving interpretation to the deaf and dumb during Mass at St. Theresa’s Parish in Makurdi.
A Facebook user Mangosuthu Buthelezi Amande, who shared the report said the golden oppurtunity came for Ms. Anemba when Benue state first lady came as a special guest during the send forth mass of Rev. Fr. Mbachie, the resident priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, High Level, Makurdi.

“The Wife of the Benue state Governor, Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom attended the send forth mass of Rev. Fr. Mbachie, the resident priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, High Level, Makurdi, who has been a long standing spiritual guide and friend of her family,” Amande wrote.

“During his vote of thanks, the Rev Fr with specifics, called out one Miss Philomena H. Anemba who has been voluntarily working with people with special needs (deaf and blind) in the church for years without any pay, and requested that Dr. Mrs Ortom help get a job for her, which she immediately accepted to.

“Miss Philomena Nemba holds a Diploma in special education from the Kaduna Polytechnic and will by tomorrow, God willing, start working as a staff of the Eunice Spring of life foundation (ESLF), an NGO founded by Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs Eunice Ortom with vested interest in (among other things) providing succour and support to people with special needs… and not in any government ministry, department or agency as being speculated and made a source of concern.”
