Bible News: To Professional Christians & Those Who Simply Believe

0

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” – Acts 2:17 KJV

The problem with this generation is not that we do not have enough fire to spark a revival but, like the Greeks, many of us are consumed with knowledge more than knowing God.

The truth is it has been spoken by God that in the last days there will be the outpouring of God’s spirit, revelation will abound greatly but are we now suppose to pervert such beautiful privilege?

When you open your bible, are you looking to see another phase of the WORD that became flesh or acquiring wisdom as though you are a professional Christian?

When you pray, do you come to the God that if taken away from your existence, you are nothing or you confidently arm yourself with skills and principles?

Neither of the former premises above is bad in itself but our generation is becoming such professionals with God that we forget all we did to earn salvation was SIMPLY BELIEVING.

So many arguments about what is obtainable and what isn’t. Complicated formula here and there instructing us about how we should come to God, how we should obtain. Yet the word is near you, it is in your mouth, therefore if you believe and confess, you will be safe. Don’t forget that the finished work already tore the curtain. There is no complications intercepting you from coming to God!

Jesus is not giving degree like your universities do, to the most intellectually sound scholar. You want to enter the rest which follows your salvation? Do what you did in the beginning –  SIMPLY BELIEVE.

When the Bible talked about strong meat are for adult, it wasn’t talking about the most intellectually sound bible scholar, it was talking about those who knew the ways of God through “reason of use” – those who have come to the fullness of God. They are not puffed up by their experience but like Paul, who was taken to 3rd heaven and heard things that are not lawful for a man to speak, yet with his level of revelation, concurred that he will rather glory in his meekness that the power of the resurrected Christ may manifest more abundantly in him.

You see that it was not a mere coincidence that Jesus used the example of a child to illustrate those who will inherit the kingdom of God. It is not them who have become professional Christians but those who take the kingdom like a child who is learning and can only be perfected at the appearance of Jesus – When Christ your life is revealed, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

We are not in a quest for the Most Intellectually Sound believer on earth, so be careful, when you have to explain the word using some complex intelligence, philosophic reasoning,  rather than alignment with the written word. You have already erred. Receive the word with simplicity!

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” – Corinthians 11:3
