– Presidency shuts down Buhari’s Death Hoax

News hit the media on Saturday that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari had died in a German hospital.

The presidency reacted to the news immediately clarifying that the president was on vacation and routine medical check-ups in the UK

Presidential spokesperson, special adviser on media and publicity to the President Femi Adesina, denied the reports through his social media handle calling on those spreading the rumours to repent.

“Best wishes to all who wish PMB well. As for those who carry evil rumours, may they receive grace to repent,” he wrote on Twitter.

The president through his Twitter account further shut down the rumour posting a picture of himself watching the news. He praised the Nigerian media for the achievements thus far.

“Wherever I am, I keep up with news from home. Channels TV is one of my favorites. I’m proud of what the Nigerian media are achieving,” he said.
