Rapper MI Abaga has been criticized by some Christians on social media for speaking up against religious ideologies as the basis for terrorism.
MI opines that a terrorist is one because he chose to be radical and not because his religion permits the act of terrorism.
Replying a tweet that questioned his premises, MI said the terrorist who drove a truck through “hundreds of people” did it because he is a terrorist and not because he is a Muslim. He said all religion has the potential of being violent and that is not because of what the precept entails.
Read the thread of the conversation below:
MI concluded saying, “It is interesting.. religion which is supposed to inspire love and peace in man.. ends up being the source of so much hate and bile.”
