Gospel Music Icon Tope Alabi Honoured By New York State Senate

cee00645-c688-4b4f-9c04-6fe3f72a2e58The United States New York State Senator, Ruben Diaz, has honoured Yoruba Gospel music icon Tope Alabi on the 9th of October 2016, at the COGA Rehoboth Convention, New York, for her dedication to the betterment of her community.

Tope Alabi was honoured with the Proclamation Award which stated her contribution to music, movies and the art in general within Nigeria and the world.

Part of the statement reads;

“I, New York State Senator Ruben Diaz, recognize that in Tope Alabi, we have an individual worthy of our highest respect and esteem; and be it further”.

“It is fit and proper to recognize the achievements of individuals who substantially contribute to the vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State”.

In appreciation and acknowledgement of the honour bestowed upon her, the Gospel music icon said; “I return the glory back to you Lord God for the Proclamation Award from New York State Senate. I will not leave your path Lord. Please friends glorify God with me because He alone deserves all the glory”.
