Benson Idahosa University in Edo State yesterday the 23rd of October honoured President of the Believers’ Love World, Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome with a Doctorate Degree.

The management of the institution said, the decision to award the man of God was boiled out of his immeasurable contribution to nation building and spreading of the Gospel of Christ worldwide.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome expressed his gratitude and approval for the honour.  “My deep appreciation to the Governing Council and Senate of the university, for their gracious approval for the conferment of this degree on me. I especially thank them for their service and commitment to the vision of the Archbishop Benson Idahosa, who remains an icon of courage and dedication to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The seed which he planted has nurtured under their guidance and has flourished through their wisdom and leadership.”

Pastor Chris during his acceptance speech also donated a whooping sum of N1billion for the school’s Engineering Faculty.

Commending Pastor Chris for his strides in the Christendom, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ernest B. Izevbigie, said:

“A prophet is without honor in his own home but we have decided to honor you and let the world see that you are honored even in your own home.”

It will be recalled that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was recently honoured by Ambrose Alli University (AAU) with Doctorate Degree of Science at a Special Convocation Ceremony.
