Funmi Praise Talks About The Reason For "Be My Man" – Says "My Husband Helps With Chores & Babysits"

Funmi Praise (2)Sonorous Gospel singer Funmi Praise can confidently add counselor to her CV now after the success of her latest release “Be My Man”. Funmi Praise has become a sort of counselor since the release of the song dishing out advice and having a lot of fans’ feedback and responses to the song. In Funmi’s words;

“I have never had such huge reception for a song, like “Be my Man” has provided.”

The song took a whole new perspective to spreading the Gospel and targeted the married and those courting. Funmi had said that she hope the song will bring healing to broken marriages and the song has served it’s purpose in an era where separation seems to be the in-thing.

In a chat with SelahAfrik while talking about her own marriage as it relates to the reason for the single, Funmi Praise said;

“Marriage for me has been very adventurous, there are beautiful times and defiantly challenging times too but Christ who has been the foundation and the pillar of our marriage has kept it going. Even when we had challenges with having children 4 years into our marriage the Lord took control… That’s a story for another time. Sincerely, it’s been by his grace juggling work (8am to 6pm), ministry, family and music but I’m grateful to God; to my best friend, my hubby, my prince charming who has been highly supportive. He actually helps out with chores and even accompanies me to functions were I minister. He also babysits.

I want to encourage youths not to ever marry for material gains, cos it will fade away

My husband is very God fearing, and he is the reason my first album was released. Left to me, I was content with singing in the choir. He also finances every of my project.”
