Christian singer Danny Gokey and wife Leyicet had much to be thankful for during the thanksgiving season as they welcomed their second child, a healthy baby girl.
On November 28 the former “American Idol” contestant took to Instagram to announce that he and his wife were currently awaiting the arrival of their baby girl. He kept his love ones updated throughout the whole process via hhis Instagram account and as soon as the baby arrived, he held her and sung some of the lyrics of Richie Valens “Donna.” while posting the video with the caption:
“HERE SHE IS!!!! Victoria Isabella Gokey! I’m so in loooove!!!! A whopping 9lbs 2oz,” he wrote along with a video of him and the baby.
Monday was also the couple’s wedding anniversary and what better way to ceklebrate it than the birth of their new bundle of joy. Danny said:
“Today’s celebrates mine & Leyicet 3rd anniversary!! So many wonderful memories including 2 beautiful children packed in these 3 short years. So blessed to call you my wife, best friend and lover!! Love and appreciate you more than you know. Here’s to another 50 more years!!”
Gokey’s album Hope in Front of Me debuted in June of this year and has done exceptionally well in the Christian market, as his single of the same name reached No. 1 on the National Christian Audience radio chart with 9.8 million listeners.
