Advertising Titans Bunmi Oke & Rufai Ladipo Cover September Issue Of GemWOMAN/GemMAN Magazine

Rarely do you get to see an advertising duo on the cover of an inspirational lifestyle magazine. On specialised brand magazines and journals? Yes. On a lifestyle magazine it is indeed a rare but pleasing sight to see. This is what gemWOMAN/gemMAN magazine, a two-in-one inspirational lifestyle magazine did as it featured Olubunmi Oke and Rufai Ladipo on the cover.

Bunmi Oke is the Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director of 141 Worldwide, a prominent world-class advertising agency in Nigeria and immediate past president of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN). Mrs. Oke who just returned from the national conference where she represented marketing communications industry, remains the second female President of the AAAN in history.  In fact, Mrs. Oke is reputed to be the only practicing female Fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, (APCON) amongst the four women in Nigeria who have attained this level.

Rufai Ladipo is a past president of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and a fellow of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). He’s been a key player in the advertising industry for decades, and served as managing director/CEO of STB-McCann for eight years. While at STB-McCann, he played a key role at the McCann-World Group level.

Rufai later had a stint with Scanad Nigeria as Managing Director. Currently, he runs his own agency, Agile Communications, set up with a singular objective of providing an alternative in idea generation, clear strategic thinking and providing marketing services solutions in an integrated manner.

These role models share their experiences and principles that shaped them for success in the August/September 2014 issue of gemWOMAN and Magazine. It promises to be an inspirational and insightful read for advertising/brand enthusiasts and students, as well as the everyday person in general.
