On Friday July 11th, late gospel artiste, Irikefe “Kefee” Don-Momoh, nee Obareki was laid to rest in her hometown, Okpara Inland, Ethiope-East LGA, Sapele, Delta.
Nene SoulDiva, Anny Ibrahim, Princess, Aity Dennis, Daddy Showkey, Tosin Martins and Nikki Laoye, DJ Gosporella, I Go Dye, Linda Etukudo, amongst others were present for the late Gospel music icon’s burial.
There was also performances from the gospel artistes present and other locals as well.
The body arrived Akpevwoghene Educational Centre, Okpara Inland, around noon in a white SUV with ‘Omega 1’ as the plate number and was laid in state in the middle of the school’s football field in a white casket. After the service in the school field, the body was transported to the burial site where a beautiful mausoleum had been erected and buried amidst tears from friends and well-wishers.
Speaking to music channel, Hip TV at the funeral, Sammie Okposo’s statement was cut off by sudden outburst of emotion that brought tears to his eyes while Nikki Laoye voice was shaky as she fought back tears.
