SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE WITH JESUS: EP 014

HE GAVE ME A MAKEOVER

Dear Jesus, I took a good look at myself this morning in front of the mirror and I’m truly impressed at what stared back at me.

It feel good to finally be able to look at the man in the mirror without the sense of shame…

I couldn’t look at him before, until you came and gave me a makeover.

You took my hair and said to me; “but the very hair of your head are numbered, therefore don’t be afraid, you are of more value than many sparrows” – Luke 12:7

You opened my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your law (Psalm 119:18)

Then you touched my ears and inclined them to your wisdom (Proverbs 2:2) …You said to me, You made the ears, “Shall not he hear, that planted the ear” (Psalm 94:9) when ever I cry to You

You filled my mouth with your words and told me “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth” (Joshua 1:8)

Then You put Your spirit inside of me and said “Your body is my temple” (1 Corinthians 16)

After you gave me a complete makeover, you kissed my head and held me saying “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance”  (Ephesians 1:18-19)

How can I see myself as the same again? You have completely changed me and I want to give you a treat Dear Jesus… I have gone shopping but the best gift on the store couldn’t equate what you have done for me.

Perhaps a flower? But as soon as the sun dies, so will it.

Maybe a song? But as the hours pass, my vocal strength dwindled and my throat hurt.

I know! I will give you the perfect gift… I will give you the perfect treat…

I will go with you to the ends of the earth, over the mountains, hill, seas and everywhere.

Declaring your love…

I will give you the perfect gift… this imperfect me is all i have…

Take me and use me for your will.
