and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on earth.” – Revelation 5:10
According to Dr Myles Munroe, God wanted to model his dominion in heaven therefore He created earth and gave man dominion over it.
The first Adam fell short of God’s purpose and design for him and for several years kept man in a low form of being till the last Adam (Jesus) came and reconciled us back to God.
Now, we are no longer slaves, Jesus said, we are friends… As a matter of fact we are sons of God. (The word “sons” is used as children).
Now if we are a sons of God, that automatically makes us heirs of the fathers promises (Galatians 3: 29). In the beginning, God made a promise to Abraham that his seeds will dominate the earth and when Jesus reconciled us to God, he reactivated the potency of that promise so that God said to us we are “kings and priests” unto Him.
Think about it, it all makes sense why the bible will tell us we have authority, we shall reign upon the earth, etc. It is only logical that as a king, you have to rule a territory and the system of God’s Kingdom brings your rulership to the present! You are a king now, your reign is now… This is why the bible verse before us says “and we shall reign upon the earth.”
The thing is many Christians are too ignorant of their rulership and therefore cave into religion and standards instead of expressing their freedom, their dominion and authority.
God does not want you to be dependent on a job, a system of government, the economy etc, He wants you to operate by the Kingdom system which brings the treasures that you desire to your present. The world systems are too limited to sustain an individual, especially in these days of economic hardship. The thing is, do you know your place in God’s Kingdom system and do you know apply your citizen rights appropriately?
