I WISH PEOPLE REFER TO THE MUSTARD SEED MORE (THAN THE MOUNTAIN)

“He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

– Matthew 17:20

At times it feels like the wall is closing up on you and there is no way out. The trial becomes as real as it was to Job and in the midst of that storm you cannot even fanthom how you will find a way out or if God can even make a way.

I have learnt — through experiences — that it always feel impossible until it is done, that’s why they call it a miracle.

Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen.

This “faith thing” is really a substance. Yes “substance” that can be felt, it is real and can be reached and touched. The only thing is you must be willing to look beyond the trials and see through the eyes of faith.

And it doesn’t take much, just a belief, a conviction and consistent word which is the will of God. Jesus said, if you have faith as little as a mustard seed, you will tell a mountain to move and it shall.

Please, have you seen a mustard seed, how little it is? Have you stood before a mountain and seen how enormous it is? Now a little seed as a mustard can uproot a whole mountain and cast it off… Wow!

Jesus knew exactly what He was saying when He made the comparison between a mustard seed and mountain, he knew you will need such a vivid example to steer your faith, people often refer to mountain as hindrance, trials and troubles but I wish people refer to mustard seed more as its solution!

  1. It was a mustard seed-sized faith that God used to heal my back!

Years later, we went to Israel and learned that the mustard seed to which Jesus referred isn’t the yellow ball in the hand above, but the seeds within it…the size of ground up pepper! He really does not ask for very great faith from us. Just a speck will do. I love that about Him!

Thanks for stopping by today. May the Lord Jesus give you a great harvest for your labor in His name!
