A SMALL CLOUD THAT BROUGHT THE RAIN OF ABUNDANCE

“And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.”

– 1Kings 18:44

I feel there is still a need to stay on this subject because I don’t think I stressed the importance of Elijah’s “small cloud like a hand” strong enough.

See, there are times you will pray and create a picture of your answered prayer – how the answer will come – in your head. Some people will even tell God how they want it to be. For instance, someone believing God for a spouse can decide to give God a full description of the kind of person he/she wants.

Most times, God will not come the way you expect, like a night in shimmy amour. He may choose to come like a small cloud in form of a man’s hand… Like the birth of Jesus – the God in man’s flesh.

The answer to your prayers may be a very humble unattractive beginning but if you will hold that clue strong

enough like Elijah did, then the rain of abundance is sure to follow.

Not only that, there is also a “much more” that comes with the package. 1 Kings 18:46 says “and the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his waist, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”

Ahab had gone ahead of Elijah and had gone in a chariot but when the hands of God rested on Elijah after the rain started, it was like the fervent continuous prayer which Elijah made on that mountain had not been delayed at all. Not only did he obtain the rain he desired but he also obtained divine speed.

Friends I see God’s hands upon your life, those things that were difficult will become easy and you will recover all in no time… All you have to do is – do not focus on the present, focus on His presence!
