Jesus is the Resurrection and Life
The past Easter season got me thinking so much about the victory Jesus accomplished for us through His death on the cross and I will like to share one more thought on the power of resurrection. Come along with me…
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.”
– John 11:25
The standard of the world is limited but God’s standard is unlimited and this standard has been freely given to man because of Jesus’ sacrifice.
It’s the world standard that death is the end of all things, a lost job means no income and to attain certain height one needs to observe certain protocols.
According to Jesus, He who believes in Him, even if He dies will still live. It’s a little wonder, death could not hold him captive and the grave could not keep Him… Because He did not just resurrected, He is the resurrection and life!
The book of John 1:4 says in Him is life and the life is the light of men. Therefore the standard that the believers live by is different from the world’s standard. Death does not mean the end with God because we believe in Jesus. A lost job is just a room for better promotions and protocols will be broken for us to attain great heights. Christ paid the price and we have overcome every form of death, we that have all our lives been in the fear of death, it’s victory all the way!
We therefore cannot keep our eyes on the things happening around us (good or bad), this will limit our perception on the things that are possible but we should be heavenly conscious, because this is the victory that overcomes the world!
Prayer: Heavenly father, I receive Jesus anew into my life that the power that raised Jesus from the death may quicken my mortal body and bring to live every form of death, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
