“Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year one hundred times what he planted. Yahweh blessed him.”
– Genesis 26:12
Are you frustrated about where you are right now? Family, job, school, country, church and more? Have you been crying to God to take you away from there? You know, to a better place, where everything is just right, the way you want it to be?
I want you to know that most times, God have you right where he wants you to be. It’s part of God’s design that you should be in the place where you are at the moment. It may be to teach you a lesson or to impact someone else’s life by your presence in the place where you are.
Isaac wanted to go to Egypt because there was famine where he was but God spoke to him to stay in Gerar. The bible record that Isaac sowed in the land and prospered. A lot of people look at the situation, the country’s dwindling economy, the frustrating boss and start to whine that God should take them away from the place where they are, I want you to know that God may not move you from where you are till you know why you are there in the first place. A simple analogy to this is the fact that Isaac dug up several of Abraham’s wells and Rehoboth in Gerar before heading to Beersheba.
