DO YOU HAVE THE PASSWORD [OF PRAISE]?

0

“Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of GOD.”

– Psalm 89:15 [Message Translation]

Guess What
Christ is the access!!!

Yes, yes, I know. I said I was going to stick by the first set and let you explore the other passwords by yourself but the principle we are about to consider is as strong as the last two in our series and truthfully, I believe praise and worship supersede all forms of prayers.

I heard a message over the weekend and being that we just concluded a series on “Do You have the Password?” and I have left praise and worship out, I had to bring it back.

I have adopted the message translation because it drives home the point. It say “blessed are those who know the passwords of praise,” did you notice “passwords” is in plural? Yes there are various passwords of praise but let’s consider these two.

Blessed are those who know the passwords of praise!
Blessed are those who know the passwords of praise!

There is a praise and worship that is not acceptable. Such praise is not done from the heart of hearts and it is not in surrender to God. Such praise does not give access into the presence of God. Just like the remaining part of the verse rightly puts it – “who shout on parade in the presence of God.”

Just imagine it, what is it that makes you shout? It must extremely make you happy. You must lose your senses in that moment such that you shout for joy… Just like when your favorite team scores during a match… Yes, that’s the kind of worship that is acceptable before God, you have to be full of joy and forget all that is wrong with you. So filled with his presence that you cannot be dignified therefore you shout, you sing, you weep, you lift up your hands and worship Him. This is the kind of password that grant you access into his presence.

The beautiful thing about praise is that the chains and shackles that cannot be broken with your fasting and prayers, they shatter in the presence of praise and worship, remember Paul and Silas? Remember how the wall of Jericho came down?

Broken-Chains
Praise breaks chains and shackles

Therefore, Another point I will like for us to consider is that praise and worship is in itself, THE PASSWORD. Just like I have been saying above. A genuine praise, apart from granting you access into God’s presence such that His face shine on you (Read the other translations of Psalm 89:15), it also is an access to a happy life. When your heart rejoices and praise always, you cannot be defeated by the happenings around you. You also confuse the devil because he’s painting pictures to scare you but you are rejoicing thereby bringing God’s hand to the situation for the expected change to occur.

This is the ultimate password. Often times, God has commanded armies to go to war with trumpets, harps and choir in the bible instead of swords and armors. We know how the story always end in their favor. Are you ready to take a different kind of weapon this today? Okay, activate your praise mode and experience victory in Jesus name – amen.
